The deputy spokesperson of the PP in the Courts of Aragon, María Navarro, demanded on Thursday that Red Eléctrica and the Government of Spain accelerate, urgently, the adaptation of the electrical grid in the Autonomous Community, as well as including our strategic needs in the planning with maximum priority.
«The goal is clear: to ensure that no industrial or energy project in Aragon is lost due to lack of grid,» explained Navarro, who announced the presentation of an initiative in the Courts in this regard.
«Aragon is a protagonist in an industrial, technological, and digital revolution. We have projects, we have the energy, we have the talent, we just need the Sanchez government to fulfill its duties, while the Azcón government is working from the first minute with vision, planning, and rigor, the Sanchez government is not doing what it should, because it is focused on covering up its corruption scandals,» lamented the popular deputy.

The deputy spokesperson of the PP pointed out that Aragon leads the industrial and energy transformation in Spain, as certified by the Socioeconomic Report of 2024 from the Economic and Social Council.
A report that highlights an increasing industrial production, with a 1.8% growth, well above the national 0.4%; with a strong manufacturing boost, manufacturing industry grew in Aragon by 5.5% compared to the Spanish average of 3.5%; with a solid industrial employment and with a Community that is a national benchmark in renewables, as 89% of the electricity generated in Aragon was green, the second highest figure in Spain.
Navarro emphasized that the report identifies four key levers to transform Aragon: technology, training, immigration, and housing; and «the Azcón government is working on all of them, attracting very important investments worth over 50 billion euros; with planning, future vision, and rigor.»
Therefore, the deputy spokesperson of the PP regretted the lack of agility shown by Red Eléctrica and the Government of Pedro Sánchez. «Red Eléctrica cannot be a threat, it has not developed or updated the necessary infrastructures to evacuate and distribute all the renewable energy generated or to ensure the implementation of new industries. That is why we demand urgency so that everything we have achieved is not jeopardized by the demonstrated incapacity so far by the Government of Pedro Sánchez,» she stated.
