The building of Grupo San Valero has hosted the closing ceremony of the Advanced Business Transformation Program (PATE), which trains CEOs and executives to lead innovation, change, and competitiveness in Aragon’s companies.
Present at the event were representatives of the institutions promoting this initiative: CEOE Aragón’s president, Miguel Marzo, CESTE’s José María Marín, and Grupo San Valero’s general director, César Romero.
Miguel Marzo emphasized, «This project allows companies to improve competitiveness, and if we can do that, we will all benefit—people, companies, and the community—while also focusing on productivity, which is the foundation of competitiveness.»
José María Marín highlighted, «The goal has been to strengthen Aragon’s network of companies, providing them with a set of tools. In this training course, we have had prominent individuals offer key insights that are already being effectively implemented.»
The event, moderated by Javier Pardo, focused on a conference given by the president of Think Tank Aragón, Antonio Cobo, who recalled the purpose and main points addressed in this framework—a model recognized as the best reference in generating innovative ideas and proposals for sustainable growth and improved productivity in Aragon’s economy.
DIALOGUE
During his intervention, there was an enriching dialogue with student Jorge Sanz, owner of Horno Sanz de Teruel, chosen by his peers to represent the students at this event.
Topics discussed in this conversation included human capital, innovation and technology, public sector efficiency, the relationship between company size and productivity, and the gap between education and the workforce.
Jorge Sanz emphasized the importance of individuals because «without them, there is no company, and we face a reality of personnel shortage in certain positions.» Referring to his business performance, he stated, «I try to simplify processes by automating them and aim to provide better quality to my employees. This training has truly enriched me personally.»
ADVANCED BUSINESS TRANSFORMATION PROGRAM
The Advanced Business Transformation Program, designed by CEOE Aragón, CESTE, and Grupo San Valero, consists of 50 hours of intensive training for executives from across Aragon. Participants in this edition have been able to learn practical strategies applicable to their companies from day one, as well as foster an exclusive networking space where experiences and success stories were shared.
The academic director of this first edition, Javier Luzón, thanked the students for their involvement and coordinated the diploma ceremony, leaving the doors open for future editions.
The closing remarks were delivered by César Romero, who congratulated the students for their time and talent. He emphasized the importance of the alliances that made this project possible, stating, «These alliances are based on trust, competitiveness, and complementarity with the competition. We have moved from reflection to action. Furthermore, we must reflect on the nature of talent, as we either shape it or distort it,» he concluded.
